ARE YOU HOMELESS OR AT RISK OF BECOMING HOMELESS?

If this is an emergency, please call 911

The Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Continuum of Care (CoC) works to both end and prevent homelessness. If you are experiencing homelessness in Forsyth County, North Carolina, your first point of contact should be Coordinated Intake Center.
The Coordinated Intake Center is one of the starting points for the intake process and is one of the first steps toward receiving services. The Forsyth County CoC practices a no-wrong-door approach, therefore any service provider within the CoC is able to assist an individual with connecting to resources within the community.
*The City of Winston-Salem is continuing to work with local agencies to provide emergency shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness during the cold. Single men and women in need of help should contact City With Dwellings at
502 N. Broad St., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101 or by calling (336) 790-9766.
Families in need of shelter should contact the Coordinated Intake Center line at (336) 721-9327.
City With Dwellings will extend its shelter hours during the cold weather. Emergency shelter is also available year-round at Samaritan Ministries, Bethesda Center for the Homeless and the Salvation Army of Winston-Salem.
If there is a Veteran in the household, please call (336) 978-0267 for intake and services.
